Our Story

Amy _F_449.jpg

"Nobody is going to work harder for your career than yourself - the one with the vision.

So it's really important to be your own leader at all times and not hand it all off, otherwise the whole empire will fall apart."

Skylar Grey

Bright Side Productions emerged from a determined, passionate and slightly frustrated Perth artist's dream to make the industry a more empowering, inspired and sustainable place.

After graduating from seven years of training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Amy realised how grounding and inspiring it felt to make innovative new works, re-imagine how theatre is created and experienced, and empower the brilliant artists around her.

As a primary school teacher, Amy also understands the power of educational theatre and how The Arts can provide a safe space for kids to grow as unique individuals. Bright Side provides enriching opportunities for kids to develop performance skills alongside empathy and confidence. We always enrol practising professionals as mentors and teachers to ground training in real-world experience.

Bright Side also provides accessible, inspiring, personalised guidance for those looking to courageously take their career into their own hands. This accessible mentorship program for emerging artists will arm you with the tools to pave your own way, strengthening your creative skillset and belief in your abilities through honest chats, practical workshops and actionable advice.

All it takes is the courage to reach out and get started.

Bright Side is here to inspire you in any way we can,

Amy
